Professor of Theology in the Pontifical Catholic University of Río de Janeiro. She has been  Dean of the Centre of Theology and Human Sciences of the same university. She is a member of the editorial board of the review Concilium. She has published several articles and books about God, about the role of women in evangelisation and in the Church, and about inter-religious dialogue
