She has a doctorate in political science and sociology. She is a professor of ethics at the Universidad de Deusto, a member of its Center for Applied Ethics, and a member of its Research Team for Ethics Applied to the Social Reality. She also forms part of the board of trustees of the Fundació Lluís Espinal (Cristianisme i Justícia).
